October Holiday’s You Didn’t Know You Needed!

Don’t get me wrong, I love Halloween. Dressing up, Decorating, Spooky Movies, Cuddle Weather and Cozy Pajamas, I could go on, but I think you get it. But one thing I’ve noticed since having kids is they don’t have the patience for just one holiday at the end of the month, our sweet, irrational, little free loaders keep us busy and, on our toes, and are always looking for more. So, I decided to see what else is out there, and let me tell you October is full of other Holiday’s to celebrate during the month. Have fun with them all, or pick and choose but either way you’re guaranteed to have a good time!

October 1st - International Coffee Day

This one is for the parents. Need I say more? Take the time to sit down, slow down and relax on October 1st to enjoy a WARM cup of coffee. You deserve it.

October 2nd - National Farm Animals Day

If you're planning on taking a trip to your local Farm or Pumpkin Patch this Holiday Season, what better day to do it then on National Farm Animal Day! Pick out your Pumpkin and show your appreciation to all those Farm Animals! They need loves too.

October 4th - World Smile Day

Ever heard of pay it forward? Try it with a smile! Remind your kids to smile at friends and kids they may not normally play with at school. A smile can go a long way.

October 8th - American Touch Tag Day

That's right, Tag, like the kid's game. Everyone has played some version of it in their life, get those kids outside and play Tag with them while the weather is still nice, grab your friends and family, go to a park, make teams, and show those kids you still got it!

October 14th - National Dessert Day

Cake, Cookies, Chocolate, Ice Cream… Take your pick, or pick a few and don’t be shy, grab seconds while you’re at it. If you’re going to celebrate National Dessert Day, do it right!

October 25th - Howl At The Moon Night

Okay, you guys. I don’t know about you, but we will most definitely be howling at the moon LOL How does one participate in Howl At The Moon Night, you ask? Simply go outside the night of October 25th and howl at the moon at the top of your lungs. BTW, If the moon is in the sky during the day, and you can see it, it is perfectly appropriate to howl at the moon.

Holidays don't always have to be big and busy, as long as you're with your friends and family any Holiday can be one for the books!
