Alright, you know the drill, round up the family for dinner, sit at the table and get the discussion begin!
This is a fun one, get inside your kids minds and find out what they think makes you guys different from other families. What do you guys do differently from your neighbors, their friends or even other family members? It's funny to hear them speak about what we do differently and how they feel about it, sometimes it will blow your mind at what they notice. For me, I like to make my kids lunch for school, this is just something I've always done. My oldest told me he noticed that some of his friends never eat a home prepped meal at school - Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just something I never would have thought a 9-year-old would notice.
As for my daughter, she decided to let my husband know that I "Take her to Starbucks before we go shopping at Target and that he doesn't get her Starbucks, so mommy does that different from daddy", uhm thanks for throwing me under the bus But hey, it's something different that we do as parents LOL So, let's pick apart those little minds, and get the conversation rolling.
Why is family time so important?
Maintaining family harmony requires patience, understanding, and love. As we navigate the ups and downs of family life, it's important to remind ourselves of the power of open communication, empathy, and creating moments of togetherness. Understanding each other's differences, offering support during challenging times, and celebrating small victories can strengthen the bonds within your family.
SO let's take a moment to prioritize family quality time in a fun and safe way that can help lead the way to a strong bond, making for a lifetime of open communication and trust!
